I n 2004, Cable Mack was established. This continued the involvement of the Mackintosh family in the Southern African cable industry, dating back almost 50 years.

Incorporating relationships and knowledge formed over the years, accompanied by skilful and professional staff, Cable Mack rapidly progressed through the industry and has now positioned itself as the most progressive and dynamic company in this sector.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE POWER

Cable Mack employs more than 40 people across different races, genders and physical abilities. In the spirit of Ubuntu and government guidelines, management decided to form the BEIT in 2013, which holds a 51% stake in a company called Praesidio Cable and Wire.

The aim of Praesidio Cable and Wire is to uplift the previously disadvantaged by adhering to incentive and preferences provided by government legislation. Praesidio Cable and Wire is now a Level 2 BBBEE company. This company provides preferential procurement points to suppliers while uplifting qualifying employees within Cable Mack.
